Welcome to The University of Sheffield Ju-Jitsu Club Website.
If you are looking to learn some form of self-defence then why not try Jitsu? We are always open to new members; even if you aren't sure, feel free to come along and join in, or just watch.
Jitsu is purely a form of self-defence. We concentrate on techniques that confuse and disorientate the attacker before throwing, locking or striking them.
Training is provided in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is welcome, regardless of sex, size, strength or ability. Jitsu is a martial art in which everyone can participate and enjoy themselves. You will learn defences from all manner of attacks, including punches and kicks, grabs and strangles, weapons (knives, bottles, etc) and two or three man attacks. You will also improve your general fitness, balance and grace, whilst developing self-confidence and an awareness of yourself and those around you.
The University of Sheffield Jitsu Club is a member of The Jitsu Foundation, the second largest Ju Jitsu governing body in the UK.
